Congratulations to Cambridge Energy Partners on signing an agreement with Scatec Solar!

Congratulations to Cambridge Energy Partners (CEP) who recently signed a cooperation agreement with Norwegian independent power producer, Scatec Solar.

Cambridge Energy Partners is a manufacturer of movable solar trackers for the remote industrial market, taking solar power to new frontiers. CEP's Nomad solar tracker has been chosen for Scatec Solar’s “Release” offering, allowing mines and heavy power users in remote regions access reliable, low-cost and clean power. This option offsets the demand for diesel driven power solutions that are typically used by mining companies, providing a more cost efficient and clean energy solution.

Solar-as a-Service is expected to be a large growth market in the coming years, with CEP leading the charge. As the world’s first movable solar tracker, CEP’s Nomad tracker enables both fast installation and redeployment while providing the same performance as traditional large-scale solar trackers. CEP’s partnership with Scatec places them in the favourable position of becoming leaders in movable solar solutions, furthering their mission of delivering affordable and clean power solutions worldwide.

CEP was a venture in the HATCH Accelerator program, recently having graduated in spring 2019. As part of the Accelerator program, the team worked closely with entrepreneurship@UBC’s Entrepreneurs in Residence and Executives in Residence on business development, culture and values training, fundraising and mentorship to help to jumpstart their success.

Congratulations!
