What is Lab2Market Discover?

As a researcher, you might be considering a career beyond academia.

This program provides you with a safe space to explore entrepreneurship as a potential career path. You’ll learn a new way of thinking and find out if you have a passion for business.

You’ll get the chance to develop and expand a new business idea, while taking risks that will hopefully result in making a societal impact or profit.

Lab2Market Discover’s online exploratory program helps you explore entrepreneurship and the potential of transforming your academic research into a world-changing tech-focused business.

Deadline to apply was Sunday, September 29th.

Who Should Apply?

Lab2Market Discover is offered free of cost and is open to any STEM researcher (Masters, Ph.D., and Postdoc) interested in learning about the steps needed to commercialize research and whether entrepreneurship is a path they can or should pursue. The program is designed for researchers who are completing their studies full-time. With the online readings, work, and interactive webinars, your maximum time commitment is three hours per week.

Our programs feature tailored real-life examples, expert speakers, and case studies that cater to the specific needs of each cohort. Experienced facilitators will lead the sessions and share their insights, addressing the unique challenges and nuances faced by each group, and providing practical strategies and solutions.

Each stream is inclusive and open to all participants, including allies of the designated cohort groups. While the content will be specifically designed to address the unique experiences of each group, allies are welcome to join and learn. The focus will be on fostering an understanding of the primary group's experiences and needs.
