TrafficDriven Wins 21st Annual New Ventures BC Competition

TrafficDriven team with New Ventures BC Team

Vancouver, BC — TrafficDriven Technologies Inc. has been announced as the winner of the 2021 New Ventures BC Competition, presented by Innovate BC. The Vancouver-based, AI-powered startup took home the $110,000 Innovate BC First Place Prize Package at a hybrid ceremony that took place at Roundhouse Community Centre in downtown Vancouver.

A venture a part of entrepreneurship@UBC, TrafficDriven is building an AI-powered auction platform that enables the buying, selling, and trading of cars. Their dealer-fueled online marketplace ensures trust for consumers and allows brick and mortar dealers to compete with digital disruptors. Consumers can now skip the discomfort of a vehicle purchase and trade when traders bid for their business, while Dealers can upgrade their sales model and qualify in-market buyers.

In addition to the top three prize packages, the Competition finalists also competed for four specialty prizes, including two newly added awards. This year’s winners include UBC entrepreneurs Sarcomere Dynamics, who took home the $7,000 Luminaries Diamon-in-the-Rough award and UBC spin-off company, AbCellera, being awarded the Alumni Impact Award.

Congratulations to these teams, as well as UBC entrepreneurs Pocketed, Matidor and Total Flow Cannula for making the top 10 finalists!
