Brand Workshop: Getting the love you deserve
June 20, 2023
Your story is the key to getting the love you deserve — from investors, customers, partners, and your team. And story and brand are one and the same. When it’s clearly defined, you can make better decisions faster, communicate more easily, increase marketing efficacy, attract customers and talent that are a great fit, and increase company valuation.
Most companies think of their brand as their logo or marketing fluff. But that means missing out on the very practical and real value that brand can provide.
In this session, participants will hear from Co-founder and Principal of Vigilantes, Vanessa Richmond, learning what a brand is and why it matters, the key characteristics of a successful brand, the difference between a founder’s story and a brand story, and the steps involved in building a brand. This will be followed by an AMA (‘Ask me Anything’) with Vanessa.
About the speaker
Vanessa Richmond, Co-founder and Principal of Vigilantes
Vanessa Richmond works with ambitious, purpose-driven organizations to define their brand and identity, and launch them into the market. She helps equip entrepreneurs to lead with more clarity and confidence. Her parents were teachers, and it’s in her blood. She then became a journalist – focusing on identity and values debates in pop culture, with a weekly column called Schlock and Awe. And did strategy and copywriting for global and local companies. She co-founded Vigilantes ten years ago, where she leads the strategy.
