MTT Innovation are developing an innovative new projector with dramatically improved image quality and brightness. MTT Innovation’s projector promises to rejuvenate the professional entertainment cinematic experience as well as introducing a compelling and competitive alternative to flat screen products popular in the consumer market.
MTT was cofounded by Gerwin Damberg while pursuing his PhD in the Physical Simulation and Measurement lab at UBC. Gerwin cofounded MTT with two colleagues he had previously worked with while at another UBC affiliated startup called Brightside Technologies. Brightside, which developed LED-based flat screen displays, was sold to Dolby Laboratories in 2007. Gerwin, and his two cofounders, initially located MTT at the e@UBC startup space but, with a growing need for space, relocated to a dedicated lab in East Vancouver.
