Tasktop Closes Series A Funding

Tasktop Technologies connects development, testing, planning, project management and operations functions of software development. Tasktop’s two main products, Tasktop Sync and Tasktop Dev, have integrated management software tools and improved the productivity of over a million users to date.

Tasktop has raised $11 million from Austin Ventures, from Austin, Texas, and Yaletown Venture Partners. Tasktop Technologies initially started at UBC 7 and a half years ago by Mik Kersten, Gail Murphy, and Robert Elves. Mik Kersten holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UBC. Gail Murphy currently holds an appointment as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at UBC and is also serving as an Associate Dean in the Faculty of Science at UBC. Robert Elves holds a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Victoria.
