e@UBC new venture teams benefit from complimentary expert legal consultations

entrepreneurship@UBC is pleased to welcome the Lawson Lundell team to support the growth of e@UBC new ventures at all stages of development. Starting in June, lawyers from Lawson Lundell will be hosting office hours during Open Office for participants on campus, providing complimentary general information on company formation and governance, early stage finance, and technology commercialization, as well as participating in other events and presentations throughout the year.

e@UBC’s Open Office program supports registered ventures in weekly one-on-one meetings with top entrepreneurs and industry experts. e@UBC startups may book these meetings to establish a mentoring relationship with e@UBC Entrepreneurs-in-Residence to accelerate their startup growth, to discuss funding opportunities, or to expand their entrepreneurial education.
“We are excited to take part in this initiative and to have the opportunity to help foster the development of local entrepreneurs and to support UBC’s efforts to inspire and encourage entrepreneurship and the creation of innovative commercial and social ventures,” said Justin Young, a partner in Lawson Lundell’s Technology Law Group and past judge of the BCIC New Ventures Competition.
