UBC Impact Fund

Funding the Future of Innovation

Who We Fund

The fund invests in the highest impact ventures from the UBC community. We are looking for ventures that explicitly aim to create impact through their business operations and pursue impact-maximizing strategies.

We support ventures where at least one of the founders, or key managers, is a current UBC student, faculty, staff member or recent alumni within three years of graduation

Social Ventures at e@UBC

UBC recognizes the integral roles that social ventures play in business and society. The Centre for Social Innovation & Impact Investing (S3i) at the UBC Sauder School of Business and e@UBC actively collaborate to provide a wide range of opportunities and support for social entrepreneurs from the UBC community.

e@UBC offers many programs for ventures, including open office hours with industry experts and mentors, a shared startup space, and the Lean Launch Pad program.

Investing in Impact

The UBC Impact Fund is fully owned by UBC and is seeded by donations to UBC. It operates on a revolving basis and returns are reinvested on a continuous basis into new ventures creating real and sustainable social and environmental impact. The fund provides a unique opportunity for donors to support innovation, entrepreneurship and impact at UBC.
