Human API Raises $6.6M for Healthcare Infrastructure

Andrei Pop, a UBC Arts’ alumnus, raised $6.6 million with his startup Human API from 16 investors according to an SEC filing. Andrei engaged informally with the Sauder School of Business and entrepreneurship@UBC’s facilitators during the development of Lean LaunchPad curriculum before moving to Palo Alto, California. Another Human API employee, Stephanie Wilson, studied at the Sauder School of Business and participated in the New Venture Design program. Human API offers healthcare providers an infrastructure to create a health platform that enables a group of patients to share data with their caregivers. In an Information Week interview, Pop stated that the company aims to make it simple for a physician, nurse, researcher, or even a caretaker to retrieve this data.
