Hear from UBC Alumnus & Co-founder of the Social Stock Exchange

Professor James Tansey will host a conversation with alumnus Pradeep Jethi, BA’87 (English), Strategic Adviser and co-founder of the Social Stock Exchange (SSX) in London, UK. The Social Stock Exchange provides access to the world’s first regulated exchange dedicated to businesses and investors seeking to achieve a positive social and environmental impact through their activities. Pradeep will be speaking about his work at the Social Stock Exchange, his career path and his time at UBC studying English.

Prior to the development and launch of the SSX in June 2013 Pradeep spent three years at the London Stock Exchange as its New Product Development Manager. At the LSE he built, developed and launched the Corporate Responsibility Exchange: a disclosure platform for extra-financial (ESG) indicators. Pradeep has experience of gaining regulatory approval from the FCA for new products and has worked with both the issuer community and institutional investors.
