News: Forging our own Opportunities: An Evening for Prospective Entrepreneurs – July 30

MP Joyce Murray invites you to Forging our own Opportunities: An Evening for Young Entrepreneurs with special guest Baba Brinkman, creator of the Rap Guide to Business.

Job opportunities for students and recent graduates have not recovered since the 2008 global recession, and for young people prospects are not as promising as university recruiters might believe. Many are channeling their efforts and creativity to start up small business and entrepreneurial pursuits as a way to create meaningful and profitable work – and get to be their own boss!

As the co-founder of a now-international reforestation business, and Liberal Critic for Small Business, MP Murray understands the obstacles and fulfillment that come with forging your own opportunities in business. Join MP Murray, award-winning rap artist Baba Brinkman, and the team behind the Dragon’s Den-featured Thuggie to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the younger generation of entrepreneurs today, and how you can become one of them!

After short informative presentations from our guest speakers, attendees will enjoy a special performance of Brinkman’s critically-acclaimed “Rap Guide to Business”, commissioned by the NYU Stern School of Business as a creative tool to explain strategies for successful entrepreneurship and the intangibles of human capital – and much more!

Please help us spread the word about this event to coworkers and friends you think might interested. It is a great chance to network, learn, be challenged, and have fun!
