This session will focus on the main PR tactics necessary to gain exposure, boost your profile, and create buzz for your start-up. Learn how to make an impact on the media, capture the attention of potential partners, and raise capital.

Kari Kylo

Since 2007, SOMA Concepts & Solutions has been providing expert services in marketing and communications. Kari Kylo, Managing Director, has 20+ years of experience in public relations, digital & traditional advertising, and brand development. She believes that strategy is the key to a successful communications program, but that the “beauty is in the execution.” SOMA Concepts & Solutions clients have included BC Hydro, ivivva, Celebration of Light Fireworks Festival, Digital Air Strike, Cowell Auto Group, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini and Josephson Angus Barristers. While working with PACE Group and DDB, some of her clients included Seattle Mariners, Molson Indy Vancouver, McDonalds and Save-On-Foods. In addition, she has worked with various non-profit organizations such as the Empty Stocking Fund, Liberty Wildlife, Covenant House Vancouver, and StreetSmart Canada.
