Canada’s Business Model Competition provides student entrepreneurs with early stage startups the opportunity to showcase their work and compete for prizes. The event is one of the ways the Starting Lean Initiative at Dalhousie University is supporting the creation of a vibrant network of student entrepreneurs and innovators!
UBC student entrepreneurs can apply for the second edition of Canada’s Business Model Competition March 13-14, 2015 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Highlights of the competition include:
- $50,000 in prize packages for the winning teams provided by our partner, Deloitte
- $1,500 in travel allowance for qualifying teams.
- An opportunity to network with student entrepreneurs from across Canada, as well as, academic practitioners and industry experts.
- The winning team will advance to the International Business Model Competition hosted at Stanford University.
The competition is hosted and organized by the Starting Lean Initiative at Dalhousie University’s Rowe School of Business. As mentioned, Canada’s Business Model Competition has been sanctioned as the national qualifier competition for the International Business Model Competition with the winner advancing to the IBMC.
The application is now live for the 2015 Canada’s Business Model Competition. The application includes an 8 minute video submission. A description of what information should be included in the video can be found on the website.
