Annelies Tjebbes, Biomedical Electrical Engineer at StarFish Medical, discusses Bring Your Idea to Market at the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST).

Come to an exciting session and learn new ideas about bringing your idea to market. Annelies Tjebbes’ (BASc ’12 ECE) passion for engineering stems from her desire to solve challenging problems and discover technological ways to contribute to her global community. Throughout her education at UBC, Annelies was recognized for her commitment to Engineers without Borders and her outstanding academic achievements which launched her into her career path as a Biomedical Engineer with a social conscience. Annelies currently works at StarFish Medical developing medical innovations, and in her spare time plays on a Division 1 soccer team, sits on the Board of Directors for Engineers Without Borders, and volunteers for the Tetra Society developing assistive devices for people living with disabilities.
